192.168.10.1 IP Address – How Do We Set Up Wifi Network With It?

Wifi is no longer a strange term in the digital era. It becomes more and more popular and gradually replaces the wired network in ordinary life.So how to set it up and how the whole system works? We’ll soon have the answer below.connect to networks

What is Wifi network?

Wifi, as common knowledge, is the wireless accessing point which allows users to access the Internet under the same IP address. Wifi is only useful in a particular area where it’s set, and the size of space is variable depending on the strength of the source of the Internet.Wifi network

Not all people staying in the coverage of wifi can access to the Internet-sourced by that IP address but only those having the correct password. We can say wifi works as a personal network which manages devices under the same IP address.

The IP address for personal use is usually 192.168.10.1, or we have other branches of IP address raised by the original such as 192.168.10.xxx.

What do we use to produce a wifi network?

So, the next question is about what the device needed to build the system? Is it identical to setting up wired accessing points? There are two devices that we need to establish and extend the system. They are modem and router.

Both of them are known as the most straightforward accessing points that any habitat can acquire for Wifi establishment.

What is a modem for?

Modem or Modulator and Demodulator operates as a device combined from an inverter and an internet divider. The modem is connecting to the source of the Internet to invert ADSL or fiber cable into usable internet that we are using for accessing social media and online pages.

On the other hand, the modem can distribute the internet into multiple computer devices at a time.

People are used to knowing modem with LAN outputs, which allows a certain number of devices to connect. These outputs will keep the linked computer running under the same IP address with the source. So, it creates a Local Area Network.

With Wifi setting up, we do not count on the LAN outputs to decide how many computers can access the Internet because there are many eligible.

What is a router for?

The router can help with dividing the internet only. Without modem, users of the router cannot access to the Internet. But it’s not the only difference between router and modem.

Modem, as an AccessPoint, cannot create a new IP address. For example, if the IP is 192.168.10.1 so, all the connected computers will run under the same IP.

But the Router can create new IP address from the original one. For example, it raises a 192.168.10.2 based on the source. Another IP address means another LAN.

What is the difference between WAN and LAN?

LAN vs WANWAN will create a new network with a different IP address. And only routers are made with this function.

Using routers are convenient for communities like companies, restaurants, buildings.

We can see most of these organization made with multiple departments, floors, branches, therefore, having different LAN will be easier to manage. Besides, having various networks for particular groups can remain a good connection in a large area.

LAN can distribute internet to other computers, but it cannot create another network.

This network connects computers and retains them in a confidential link. Devices using the same IP address can share data because they use the same IP address.

It keeps everything under control, but LAN is only active for a certain number of users. So, we usually recommend this type of system for a small scaled organization like houses or café.

How to set up a wifi network for a company with different areas?

How to set up a wifi network step 1Step 1: The modem is the first thing you need as it got you the internet. But to extend the network, you need cables and routers.

After linking modem to the router, we set up the very first network. Remember to keep the DCHP mode off since you don’t want the system malfunctions.

How to set up a wifi network step 2

Step 2:

You will continue the extension by connecting the first router to the second and so on.

If you need an only LAN to cover wifi around a house, the modem can be enough for the whole place.

Each router will present a WAN which functions in a specific area. Depending on how many you want, prepare enough.

How to set up a wifi network step 3

Step 3:

You set up the router as an access point. Establishing will include password establishment and relating requirements for users depending on specific use.

It’s widespread to have LAN outputs on the routers and modems so people can get the Internet by cable.

But wifi as wireless network needs another establish.

You need to access the link of IP address, for example, 192.168.10.1 to complete your requirements of establishment.

Why do we need LAN IP?

LAN provides the domestic IP address, which cannot connect directly to the Internet, only using NAT or proxy to communicate with the public network. So, the first reason to commit to LAN is confidential. That’s why LAN is more preferred for small network building because of security.

LAN is the network that we recommend for home use because of the scale.

Devices in LAN network will use an IP address to connect with another internet, and it’s easier to keep the files among devices of the same system.

And the same IP address is more convenient to manage, in general.

Wrapping ups,

Setting up wifi network is easy if you have modem and routers. The modem is to convert the ADSL to the internet and routers are supposed to help you extend the system. Depending on your personal needs, the order will be more or less extended.

Everything of your wifi network can be reset or established on the site of IP address as long as you know all about the IP addresses you had. Usually, private network will be a site of 192.168.10.1.
